Genealogy and Local History group members visited The Story: Durham to celebrate u3a week. We were given a tour of the beautiful rooms in the Grade II listed Georgian Manor House which are now used for wedding ceremonies, followed by a look at the strong rooms in the new 'concrete block' where the archives are stored (but we weren't allowed to take photos in there). After lunch some of us went to do some research while others enjoyed a walk around the grounds or explored the museum. It was a great day out! Here are some of the photos Dorothy took,
